New iPad 3 Specifications, Release date News
The soon to be released iPad 3 has a larger rear-facing camera than the current iPad 2 allegedly to accommodate an 8 megapixel sensor.
The new iPad 3 from Apple will be wider in the middle to house a longer-lasting battery pack that is expected to last longer than its predecessor’s performance. Just like the iPad 2, the 3 will have an HD screen display that supports full touch screen features.
It is also being speculated that Apple will provide the iPad 3 with revolutionary wireless charging technology. It’s certain that iPad 3 will run on 4G LTE networks.
There’s talk about the Thunderbolt port seen on MacBook Pro and MacBook Air since previous iPad models do not offer USB ports. Another feature clients would love to have is an HDMI ready device for the iPad 3. An HDMI port will enable users to hook their devices to an HD TV easier through a cable.
A6 Quad-core Processor
iPad 3 will most likely run on the A6 Quad-core ARM based processor which will make the tablet as powerful as any current pc in the market. The A6 quad core processor would have twice the power of the dual-core A5 in the iPad 2.

128 GB storage capacity that is significantly higher than the iPad 2’s maximum storage of 64GB is also a possibility. SD Card slot that would enable users to expand the current memory capacity of their devices even though previous iPad models do not support this feature.
iOS 5 Operating System
The iPad 3 will run on the latest iOS 5 but analysts are also talking about the OS X Lion because the tablet runs a quad processor. This specification will enable the device to run a multi touch gesture technology including multitasking options such as seamless application switching. Apart from the iOS 5, users are also looking forward to the Cloud computing feature. Users can store their documents, photos, videos, and music without banking on the device’s memory through the iCloud feature.
iPad 3 Release date
The Wall Street journal has reported a March 7, 2012 iPad 3 release date, quoting anonymous sources. What is almost certain is that the new Apple tablet will be released sometime in the next few weeks.
We now know why the name of the new ipad did not leak in advance – because there was no new name!
iPad3 Retina Display
It is almost a foregone conclusion that iPad 3 will have the Retina Display seen on iPhone 4S, creating a crisp and clear view of the screen with a pixel density of 326ppi. Through the Retina Display feature, the iPad 3 is believed to have a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution on a 9.5 inch display. Another possibility for the iPad 3 is the dual LED light-bar technology which addresses the brightness of previous iPad models and its high screen resolution.
